Vessel Tracking
The service provides advanced vessel tracking through proprietary AIS data, Inmarsat-C for reliable tracking, and Raptor for live reporting and breach data, aiding in safety, security, and legal or salvage purposes.Find out More
• CW AIS: Market Leading proprietary terrestrial and satellite AIS data
• Inmarsat-C – From one position report a day to every 15 minutes, scheduled via the Domain Awareness Portal, providing a reliable source of tracking. Combined with AIS, this adds an additional layer to the safety and security for vessels voyaging recognised VRA/HRA’s.
• Raptor – Best in class live vessel reporting, position reports every 7.5 minutes, additional reports received when vessel turns more than 10° and when a vessel breaches any area the client wishes to monitor. Providing accurate breach data used to collate time spent in war risk areas. Raptor’s data can also provide evidence in court cases, and claims situations, or be used to secure business along with an additional method to track the vessel when deemed necessary for the vessel to go ‘dark’ in a heightened risk situation. The data can also be shared with salvage companies to highlight any risks such as listing prior to deploying salvage teams.

• Any vessel being actively monitored by the CW Operations Centre can be notified of any live or serious incident that has occurred within 100nm of the vessel directly. Each client's emergency call plan can be tailored to suit their needs. Having first hand communication with vessels in the area of concern provides the 24/7 Operations Centre with the ability to confirm, deny and/or gather further information concerning the reported incident which puts CW ahead of our competitors. The speed of informing the Captains is essential for mitigating the risk for the vessel and crew – in turn minimising the chance of the insured being involved in a security incident.

24/7 Vessel Monitoring
Client vessels are monitored 24/7 using CW AIS, SAT-C, and Raptor tracking. Routes are uploaded and monitored closely on the CW Portal, with immediate response to breaches or incidents, providing a comprehensive overview via the Domain Awareness Portal.Find out More
• Client vessels are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by the CW Operations Centres. Vessels are monitored by our various Vessel Tracking options, CW AIS, SAT-C and Raptor or all three options dependent on the level of the package in place.
• Routes are uploaded on the CW Portal and monitored closely, any breaches are logged and if necessary, the vessel/CSO is contacted directly if a potential issue is identified.
• The routes received directly from the captain are uploaded to the Domain Awareness Portal, they automatically create a Geo-Fence around the vessel at a radius dictated by the client. The 24/7 Operations Centre receive an email informing the Officers of any route exits/entries and adjustments of speed ensuring any unplanned events are captured and acted upon. Any confirmed incidents will be logged and shared to the relevant parties for them to be able to carry out their procedures in a timely fashion, all whilst having a complete overview of the situation by utilising the Domain Awareness Portal.

• With access to multiple intelligence sources located worldwide, CW Operations Officers can promptly provide accurate and relevant domain awareness to their clients. Clear and concise information means that Company Security Officers (CSOs) can accurately plot the safest route possible for their vessels and ensure their crews are at an optimum state of preparedness when entering global High-Risk Arears (HRAs). The same information can be sent directly to vessels for the Master to brief his crew on the current situation in the area of operation.

HRA Vessel Reporting
The CW Operations Centre responds to vessel position reports in HRAs, verifying accuracy and providing support to Masters as needed. Tailored reporting schedules minimise Captain's workload during HRA voyages.Find out More
• CW Operations Centre will receive and respond individually to vessels providing position reports within an HRA. The information on the reports will be cross-referenced with the information received on the Clearwater Domain Awareness portal to verify the report is accurate and if any issues are identified, the Master will be contacted to provide support. The client will provide the preferred email reporting schedule for the vessel this can be 2 hourly up to daily. The daily reports are also in conjunction with the Voluntary Reporting Area procedures to minimise the work for Captains during the HRA voyage.

Master Briefs / Advisories
CW conducts verbal briefings with vessel Masters in HRAs, reviewing feedback for preparedness and compliance. Operations Officers build rapport with the Captain, ensuring crews are well-prepared and flagging alarming information to owners and insurers.Find out More
• A full briefing with the Master of a vessel that will be transiting in an HRA conducted verbally. A Q&A form is provided to the Master which is completed and returned. The CW Operations Officer will review the form and identify any opportunities for the vessel to increase preparedness, vessel hardening, crew training etc. as well as ensure BMP5/BMP WA compliance.
• CW Operations Officers use this time to talk to the Captain to build a rapport and understand the vessel’s layout, hardening, communication capabilities and emergency procedures. An opportunity for the Captain to ask questions regarding the services CW provides and discuss the Route Risk Report provided before the Master Brief has taken place.
• The advisories are up to date with recent trends displayed by the aggressors in that region ensuring the Captain and crew are well prepared.
• Any alarming information provided by the Captain that CW would deem as not safe or acceptable for a VRA/HRA will be highlighted to the owners and insurance companies involved in this risk.

24/7 Vessel Tracking Technical Support
CW Technical Officers monitor Raptor terminals on client vessels, troubleshooting directly with Masters and crews for non-reporting issues. They also address CW AIS and SAT-C reporting issues, collecting evidence for troubleshooting and coordinating with Logistics for smooth operations.Find out More
• CW Technical Officers monitor all Raptor terminals on client vessels and begin troubleshooting directly with the Master and crew in the event a terminal is not reporting.
• CW Technical Officers are also able to troubleshoot both CW AIS and SAT-C reporting issues.
• CW Technical Officers collect all necessary supporting evidence of the Raptor installation to assist in the troubleshooting process if an outage occurs. All correspondence including photo evidence is uploaded to the Domain Awareness Portal for clients and CW Officers to utilise.
• CW Technical Officers provide a vital link with the Logistics Department to ensure a smooth operation from onboarding, installation and if any replacement parts are needed.

• CW Route Risk Reports (RRRs) provide a clear overview of the latest incidents posing a potential security risk relevant to a vessel's imminent voyage.
• Vessel transiting within an HRA/VRA will receive a bespoke report containing all incidents that have occurred within 350nm of the intended route provided in the last 31 days.
• Two types of RRR are offered – Standard RRR provides an overview of the intended route and a list of security incidents that have occurred along the route. An In-depth RRR provides a summary of the route, ship particulars, waypoints, day-to-day breakdown of security incidents, natural factors, and risk summary.
• Once received and assessed the CSO and Captain will confirm if this is the route they will take or adjust their route to ensure a safer passage - highlighting excellent due diligence.
